Tell me this was worth the wait because - - the reveal is HERE!

My client Abby is a total sweetheart & just so fun to work with! She has been dyyying to get her daughter her own bedroom - complete girly to balance out all of those cute brothers she has ;) SO. From the very beginning I have been so so excited about this room design! She had this vision that I was able to create and help bring to life! Color, glam, luxurious & a little dream world for the most darling little girl.

Be sure to comment & tell me your favorite part!

Stage 1 of the design process is where i love to get to know my client - what do they love, what colors do they disagree with, functionality of the space, must haves, budget & more! Often, this will begin with a mood board to gather inspiration and direction. I also gather photos, measurements and take a bunch of notes.

Stage 2 is the most fun for me! Okay maybe not the most (that would be the final reveal!) fun, but pretty dang close is… the selections! From here i begin designing, sourcing & shopping for all the right pieces to pull the room together! In this design, I was able to use a ton of local shops and vendors which was so unique and special!

As you may notice - some of this is different than the final design. Which is totally normal! Sometimes revisions take place to find the perfect piece!

Stage 3 I want to make your life easy, less stressful & happy! That is my goal and vision for my business - to create the most beautiful for YOU. Part of this is easy purchasing by sending links and sourcing in a way that makes completing the room seamless! Here are some links to the furniture & accessories you’ll see in Savy’s room! Are you not obsessed with this wallpaper?!?

INSPIRED

This week I'm keepin' it classy with some inspiration photos that I've come across over the past week. I yearn for this kind of inspiration - it allows my mind to dig for creativity & hope.

Pinterest & The Magnolia Journal are my go-to's for inspiration. But I am realizing more and more that I am inspired by things that may have nothing to do with what I'm seeking inspiration for. Such as; nature, children, books, prints, clothes, food, etc. I love digging deep to wait for that little trigger to go off in my mind or heart! What gets you inspired?

I have been day dreaming about designing a cute cafe like this one. The colors are so yummy. Possibly in NY. Now thats dreaming hard. But it doesn't hurt to imagine what could be! These darling baby jumpsuits are killing me. And making me baby hungry (haha). I love these colors - I can only wonder why....(Alika's colors). The soft pink and delicious green. I love them for just about anything - floral arrangements, clothing, pillows, a nursery. Now, this pergola is the perfect amount of simplicity. It is so inviting and looks like a bucket of love got poured all over it and I'm loving it. Can you imagine spending all of your summer nights out there? Dreamy. And last but, not least - the thing in this room design that is grabbing my eye is that ottoman! Its gorgeous. The fabric itself is killing it. This design explains why ottomans are necessary & how they add a finishing touch!

I hope you've been inspired by these photos as much as I have! Until next week -- what would you like to see more of? Tips/tricks? Life? Projects? How-to's? DIY? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear!
