SOUTH SALEM PROJECT REVEAL

I usually don’t admit to my favorite designs i’ve done… plus its really hard to choose… BUT this one is definitely a favorite. It was a huge representation of the potential each room had without making any large constructional changes. Enjoy the beauty…. xo

MASTER SUITE

See the “before” photo at the bottom of this post.

We basically started from scratch in here. The master suite needed some love and attention - especially for this sweet mama of 3 and her hard working husband. They had just got rid of all of their furniture and were ready for their own, fresh, relaxing space! After discussing some of her likes & dislikes I ran with it and immediately had a vision for what this room could be! It isn’t large square footage wise, but never let that scare you of what is possible and what can make the room feel cozy, yet not cluttered.

Can you see why it’s a favorite?! Every single piece that was hand selected for this room was an exciting experience. I was giddy over it all - even the beads in the vase.

The wall is obviously a show stopper. WOW. I went bold and chose a paint color that I have never used before, and now i get asked about it ALL. THE. TIME. And have used it in another project since. Yes, yes i’ll tell you what it is: TEMPTATION / BENJAMIN MOORE. The name says it all.

Keeping the rest of the room cozy and warm was key. Each piece has a uniqueness to it and i’m so glad my wonderful clients trusted me with the mix of patterns and furniture pieces that showed off their character. I kept the bedding really simple and functional - because who really honestly loves putting one million pillows on their bed? (okay, maybe i’m guilty of that myself).

The drapes (Uptown Drapes, obviously 😉 ) were the “problem child” of the project. Haha. Every project has at least one. We had a gorgeous fabric selected from the beginning and later found out it was discontinued. BUT Geeta and her team came in clutch and gave us new, very similar options to replace it. The drapes are a testament of what can happen to a room by adding window coverings.

And if you’re wondering, I truly have a major crush on this art work.

So, what do you think?! Have you fallen in love like i have?!

Well its not over yet… one more room for you to lay eyes on! The sweetest nursery for their new little brother.

BABY BOY NURSERY

Two little girls and then a sweet little boy! A subtle “woodland / hunting” theme for this little guy and i think we balanced it preeeetty cute.

Again, my clients are the greatest. At the time (and still) I was so inspired by the wainscot painting in the design industry. A new type of “wallpaper”. But clean, sharp, bold edges. So we went for it! With a pretty forest green. YUM. It will be the best for all years of his life!

The rusty colors get me! So darling and playful. And SOFT. Making your room cute is one thing, but functional is even more important! One of my favorite rug collections ever. More roman shades from Uptown Drapes, pattern mixing and using the rocking chair that she’s used through all of her children ♥️
