“We have lived here in this house for over 15 years and it has never felt like home…” - Crestwood Remodel Client

Truly, when she told me that it broke my heart a little. Ensuring that this design would be timeless and intentional to feel like a “new home” was the most important outcome as their designer. When you walk into that home now, it feels bright and welcoming, a place you can now relax instead of wonder.

Even from photographs, you will feel the transformation from house - to - home happen!

BEFORE

 AFTER

As you can see, there were existing concepts that felt permanent that we had to work with. The off-centered fireplace wall, the extra soffits, ceiling lines, and existing wood floors (that will be refinished in the future).

The process of making the fireplace elevation feel intentional and like it was always there was well, - a process. To make everything centered would involve moving the fireplace, reframing and sheetrocking, working around roof trusses… the clients did not want to mess with that and in my opinion, we didn’t need to. The cabinetry and re-facing the fireplace alone did the trick!

Fresh paint, new light fixtures, a cleaned-up Juliet railing, drapes to compliment those beautiful large windows, texture, and dimension all played into this result. We could not be more in love!
